Our clinic provides medical termination of pregnancy care in a private, respectful setting, led by Dr Leigh Exelby. Whatever you decide, our role is to give you accurate information and look after your health.

What medical termination involves

Medical termination of pregnancy is an option early in pregnancy, generally up to around nine weeks. It uses medication, taken under a doctor's guidance, rather than a surgical procedure. During a confidential consultation, your doctor will confirm how far along the pregnancy is, usually with tests, explain how the process works, and go through what to expect, including possible side effects and the follow-up that is part of your care.

Your appointment

Your consultation is unhurried and confidential. Your doctor will talk through your options, answer your questions, and make sure you have the information you need to decide what's right for you. If you go ahead, you'll be given clear instructions and you'll know how to reach us if you have concerns. A follow-up is arranged to check that everything has gone as expected.

Support and counselling

This can be an emotional time, and support is available. If you'd like to talk things through with a counsellor, we can help you find that. You're welcome to bring someone with you to your appointment.
