Dr Leigh Exelby has had a wide and varied career. She originally studied for a Bachelor of Music majoring in singing at the University of Queensland, followed by a Masters of Business Administration. She then spent some time traveling around the world working in PR, media, and marketing roles. Eventually, she settled on the Gold Coast where she completed her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at Bond University.
Following graduation, Dr Exelby worked at Logan Hospital and Beaudesert Hospital for the next 4 years, where she particularly enjoyed the fields of paediatrics and obstetrics. This led her into General Practice where she enjoys working with families, helping people through pregnancy and infertility, and assisting people to manage their chronic medical conditions. Personally, Dr Exelby has two young children and understands the immense joys and struggles of being a new parent.
