Immunisations at Mermaid Beach

The National Immunisation Program is an Australian Government program that covers the cost of routine vaccinations recommended for eligible people at different stages of life, including children. If you or your child are eligible, the vaccine itself is provided at no cost. A consultation fee may still apply, so please ask our reception team when you book.

Our nurses give vaccinations to children of all ages and are experienced at making the visit as easy as possible. If your child has fallen behind on their schedule, we can arrange a catch-up. Adults may need vaccinations too, for example before travel, during pregnancy, for work, or because of a health condition. Some adult vaccinations aren't covered by the National Immunisation Program and involve a cost. If you're travelling, book well ahead, as some vaccinations need to be given over a period of weeks or months. You can read more on our Travel Vaccinations page.

We run vaccination clinics for our patients, including for COVID-19 and seasonal influenza. Availability changes from season to season, so please call the clinic on 07 5575 2444 to check what's currently available and to book.

If you're booking a vaccination, let reception know what you need so we can allow enough time and have the right staff available. Bring your Medicare card and, for children, their immunisation record or blue book. If you're unwell on the day, please call us, as your appointment may need to be rescheduled.
